Module 1-Fire Safety Awareness & Fire Equipment
R.A.C.E
(YOUR ACTIONS) In Event of Fire
R-REMOVE
-Everyone from imediate area of fire.
A-ALERT
-Dial Triple Zero-Tell Switchboard, anyone in area about fire. 112 ON MOBILE.
C-CONFINE
-If safe to do so, close windows and doors of fire room.
E-EXTINGUISH
-If safe to do so, try to extinguish fire with equipment you've been trained to use.

Module 2-Principles of Evacuation/Blanket Drag
Emergency Evacuation-Emergency evacuation is the immediate and rapid movement of people away from the threat or actual occurance of a hazard
Priority of Evacuating Residents/Patients
1.Ambulant-can understand & are physically capable to remove themselves.
2.Semi Ambulant-will need assistance with removal to safety.
3.Non Ambulant-Confined to bed-Maybe use Blanket Drag if in fire room-1 person.
Stages of Evacuation
Stage 1. Outside the room where the fire is.
Stage 2. Outside the smoke or fire doors into next compartment.
Stage 3. Outside the building to Evacuation/Assembly Area.
Static/ Actual
Module 2 involves demonstration of Blanket/Sheet drag one person resident/ patient removal Technique.
The Safe & Orderly evacuation of a healthcare facility is explained using visual aids & props.
Module 3-Practical Evacuation Exercise
Hotfire training services belives that this practical exercise is important to demonstrate a staged evacuation. In this scenario staff members roleplay either the fire crew or residents to make the exercise seem real. This is Videotaped & played back to all attending members for a clear understanding of an actual evacuation process.
